Ven. ZaChoeje Rinpoche’s Centre in Auckland is called Trashi Ganden Choepel Ling ( http://www.trashiganden.org/ ). This centre was founded by Ven. Geshe Pal Tsering who was brought to New Zealand by Dhargyey Buddhist Centre with our own founder Ven. Geshe Ngawang Dhargyey. If you go to there you will see Gen Rinpoche’s photo in their temple and their website lists him as one of their lineage lamas. Ven. Lhagon Rinpoche visited there with Ven. Dhargyey Rinpoche -Tenzin Lhundrup and the South Island Geshes in January 2011. TGCL has also been supported significantly over the years by Jam Tse Dhargyey Ling and Ven. Geshe Sangey Thinley.
Ven ZaChoeje Rinpoche himself has very long personal links with Ven Lhagon Rinpoche and Ven Thupten Rinpoche. They come from monasteries in the same “Za” region of East Tibet. As reincarnate Lamas the ZaChoeje Tulkus and the Lhagon Tulkus have had close relationships over many lifetimes. The Zachoeje Tulku has been responsible for writing some of the Lhagon Tulku biographies. In this lifetime Ven Lhagon Rinpoche remembers the previous ZaChoeje Tulku well; he and Ven Thupten Rinpoche having visited his monastery as young monks living in Za.
Rinpoche very kindly gave an excellent , accessible teaching on “Three Principal Aspects of the Path” at the Dhargyey Buddhist Centre on Saturday the 30th of November . This a short Lam Rim text by Jamgon Lama Tsongkhapa. The recording of the teaching is linked below.
